A series that celebrates the strength, courage, and grace of women, weaving tales of resilience and symbiosis with nature. These women, guardians or guarded, stand alongside animals, both as protectors and kindred spirits, highlighting the profound bond between humanity and the wild. How are they created:
After many hours of deliberation in creating the composition, using a mixture of hand sketches and impressive computer skills, Anna-Marie starts with a red base layer which is the perfect colour to complement the gold leaf. She then draws up the composition and applies the 24k gold leaf to her chosen areas. Once this in place she starts painting with oils. Once dry she uses a gloss varnish to protect the final piece.

In “The Viking Warrior”, we are invited into a world where power, resilience, and mystery converge. The painting centres on a commanding female Viking warrior, her presence both fierce and majestic. Is the wolf her guardian, or does the strength of their connection suggest a shared partnership where each protects the other?
